The Oakley Safehouse, which is open until 12 August, is located on the second and third floors of The Design Museum and has served as a space for Olympic athletes, their families and guests to relax in during the games.

Seasoned Events designed all the food and drink on offer at the house, including an espresso bar, Italian pasta and pizza kitchen, and alfresco barbecue overlooking Tower Bridge.

The Safehouse is Oakley’s biggest since its inaugural one at the Atlanta Games in 1996. It took two and a half years of planning and features a custom-built eyewear bar, stocking over 67,000 components for athletes to design their own bespoke sunglasses.

Colin Sayers, managing director of Seasoned Events, said: "We are extremely proud and excited to have partnered Oakley for this ambitious project. Our whole team are feeling the Olympic buzz as the athletes, coaches and the lucky few relax in this modern and vibrant space."

Cuan Petersen, director of performance sports marketing at Oakley, who produced the Safehouse project said: "The Safehouse is meant to be a sanctuary for our athletes, and key component is ensuring that the highest quality cuisine is offered to them. Partnering with Seasoned Events has allowed us to create an atmosphere where these world class athletes feel as though they are in their own kitchen enjoying a home cooked meal."
