Sapient hires heads of search and digital media

LONDON - Digital marketing agency Sapient has appointed Janet Winslade, formerly director of media at Tribal DDB London, to head up its digital media activities for Europe.

Previously, Winslade was managing partner at mOne and director of Tempest Online Marketing, where she serviced client brands including HSBC, Nestlé, Nike and Tiscali.

In addition, Sapient has appointed Bill Staples as director of search. In his previous role at Ask.com he was responsible for planning and strategy for Ask’s UK & international search tools. Staples will be responsible for using his search engine knowledge to help Sapient’s clients improve their digital marketing.

The two appointments follow that of Maggie Lonergan, formerly client services director at 20:20 London and eMC Saatchi, as client development director at Sapient Interactive.
