Diffiniti team to move to Vizeum in digital push

Aegis Media UK is bolstering the digital credentials of its media planning and buying agency Vizeum by transferring a 25-strong team from digital agency Diffiniti.

The team, which already services Vizeum's clients, will join the agency next month, increasing its headcount from 65 to 90 and boosting its billings from £185m to over £200m.
It will be headed by Ben Wood, Carat Digital's joint managing director, who will become a Vizeum managing partner. He will be responsible for ensuring that digital is placed at the heart of the business.
Wood will report to Vizeum joint managing directors, Matt Andrews and Grant Millar.
"The UK marketplace is one of the most digitally developed in the world thanks to broadband, broadcasters and the telecoms companies," said Nigel Sharrocks, Aegis Media's chief executive officer.
"This is throwing up many challenges for our clients, whose demands are rapidly evolving alongside changing media business models. In order to meet these needs, we are continually reassessing both the structure and the deployment of talent."
Vizeum recently announced that managing partner Neal Deeprose was leaving the agency to become an account director at Accenture Marketing Services.
