Sales up for Chelsea Flower Show

Sodexo Prestige, the official caterer of this year's Chelsea Flower Show, has revealed sales are up by as much as 33% on last year.

Sodexo's 700-strong team provided all public catering for the week-long show, which took place from 19-23 May.

Champagne bar sales alone increased by 33%, while cash sales rose by 4% and the Loch Fyne restaurant recorded a 19% increase on last year.

Throughout the course of the week, visitors consumed some 18,000 sandwiches, 20,500 cakes and pastries, 46,500 glasses of Pimm's and 8,000 bottles of wine.
