The temporary structure company, which abandoned the show's canvas-style exhibition space in 2000, said it is planning a milestone project for this year's event, which takes place between May 19 and 23.
For the fourth year in a row, De Boer will join two Delta System structures together to form a 12,000sqm space.
The venue will become home to plants from locations including Jersey, Jamaica, South Africa and England. No fewer than 13,000 cut flower tulips, with varieties ranging from the 17th century to today will feature at the show.
"The arrival of De Boer's modular Deltas in 2000 marked a monumental break with tradition for the world's most famous horticultural celebration." said De Boer Project manager Liz Routh.
A spokeswoman for RHS Chelsea Flower Show added: "We're not sure how the recession will hit us this year, but year on year the show has been growing and we are anticiapating our biggest yet."
