Sacla whets food lovers' appetites with new website

LONDON - Sacla, the Italian sauce company, has launched a website for food lovers to promote its pesto and antipasti ranges.

The was designed by digital agency Meteorite, as part of a marketing campaign to increase awareness of the Sacla brand.

The campaign includes national TV advertising, created by ad agency Farm, and a preview of the ad can be viewed on the website. On-pack promotions will also be rolled out to encourage customer loyalty.

The Sacla family history, recipes, product details, screensavers, competitions and a forum can be found on the website, and consumers can download the music that accompanies the TV ad.

The site will celebrate the food and recipes that match Italian holidays and events throughout the year, with visitors encouraged to submit and share their own Italian recipes. An 'Eat Well, Live Well' area shows ideas for healthy dishes, with contributions from nutritionists and health experts.

Clare Blampied, managing director of Sacla UK, said: "This new website will enable us to spread the passion we have for Italian food and inspire people to be more adventurous with it. It's full of recipes, hints, tips, and ideas for entertaining, like a marketplace for everything you always wanted to know about Italian food."
