Royal Mail will offer customers campaign management and transmission tool Royal Mail Digital Marketeer, and analysis and measure capability through Royal Mail deter-mine.
Richard Roche, Royal Mail head of business development, said: "We see email and SMS as complementary to the established strengths of mail media, and this is borne out by our own research, which shows that 42% of current users of mail media are also using email marketing, this figure rising to 50% among the top 500 advertisers."
The services will be offered through Royal Mail's recently formed business development division, which aims to develop services to meet customer demand. Services it provides include data services, media services, print and production, mail management and customer response management.
