Rivals strengthens sales team ready for a big 2003

LONDON - Rivals Digital Media, the digital publisher behind Cricket365 and Football365, has strategically restructured its in-house sales team with two internal promotions.

Dan Ginns, formerly senior sales executive at RDM has been promoted to sales and sponsorship manager, where he will be responsible for the development of agency/client relationships and the continued growth of sales and sponsorship revenue on the RDM sites.

Ginns will work closely alongside Ed Preedy, who is now heading up the whole sales team in his new role as sales director, following his promotion from senior sales executive.

According to Preedy: "This year is undoubtedly set to be a big year for sport online with the Cricket World Cup in February, the climax of the football season and the Rugby World Cup in October. Consolidating our in-house sales team in this way will enable us to make the most of the online advertising opportunities offered this year and we are looking forward to building on the advertising success we achieved in 2002."

RDM was formed by the merger of Rivals.net and 365 Corporation in December 2001. As well as Cricket365 and Football365, it is behind Rivals.net, PlanetRugby.com, PlanetF1.com and Golf365.com as well as publishing sites on behalf of clients, such as Zurich Rugby (zurichrugby.co.uk) the official website of the Zurich Premiership.
