Record rise for Brand Republic in ABCe audit

LONDON - Brand Republic has reported a record rise in user numbers and site activity in its latest audit from ABCe, boosted by its growing online community and bloggers.

Nearly a quarter-of-a-million unique users were recorded on the site in October and the number of page impressions on the site has risen by over a million since its relaunch in February and its last audit in October 2006.

Brand Republic has now confirmed 249,850 unique users and 2,552,929 page impressions a month. Its jobs site alone has 77,910 unique users. This is a massive 60% rise (from 1,594,042) in page impressions and a 16% rise in unique users (up from 215, 261) since October, last year.

The record rise in part has come as Brand Republic continues to grow its online community with more additions planned. Brand Republic already has 40 bloggers signed up as many as a dozen more planned in early 2008 when the site will revamp its community area.

Gordon MacMillan, Brand Republic's editor, said: "Brand Republic's bloggers have been one of the major successes of our relaunch in February. It is an area where we are leading the way in building what we hope will be the single largest community of bloggers on a business website."

Brand Republic has a number of other developments planned in the New Year.

Philip Smith, Brand Media's head of digital content, said: "It is great to get Brand Republic's growth verified with a truly independent audit. It tells us -- and, importantly, our advertisers -- that there are more and more people visiting Brand Republic for its news, community and jobs content, as well as its network of brands, from 北京赛车pk10 to Marketing and Media Week.

"Not only that, those visitors to the site are using BR's content and services more and more. It gives us a great platform to expand from in 2008."
