Herpetofauna – which means amphibians and reptiles in Latin – is the meeting between charity the Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Trust and amphibian and reptile groups in the UK. It is the first time Telford has hosted the annual event, which expects 140 attendees.
Baker, who presented BBC One's The Really WIld Show and Channel Five’s Weird Creatures, will speak about his encounters with creatures around the world on the final day of the event.
The meeting will also include talks on conservation and research projects, followed by a gala dinner with a 'Have I got newts for you' themed quiz.
