PRS appoints Mobious to handle creative duties

LONDON - The Performing Rights Society has appointed Mobious to its direct marketing roster and tasked the agency with creating fresh advertising for it.

Mobious will also handle all of the organisation's media buying and has been given the task of creating a fresh advertising look.

The new campaign will emphasise the beneficial effects of playing music in the workplace while highlighting the requirement for businesses to hold a PRS music licence.

The Newcastle- and Cheshire-based agency was appointed by PRS, which collects licence fees from music users and distributes the money to its members, having previously worked together on individual projects.

Martin Corlett-Moss, joint managing director of Mobious, said: "The PRS takes an intelligent approach by segmenting its marketplace and producing DM for those particular segments.

"This provides us with a real challenge because we're marketing right down to microsegments and searching for measurable results."

Caren Warren, PRS marketing manager, said: "We are extremely happy with the work Mobious has produced so far for us.

"We are impressed with its professional but friendly manner, its dedication to producing our desired result and are looking forward to working with it in the future."
