Blue Sheep specialises in business-to-business customer information management. Its brief for PRS for Music, which makes sure songwriters and publishers are paid when their works are performed, is to help it understand its market penetration in existing sectors and highlight new areas for growth and development.
The plan is for Blue Sheep to develop a single view of PRS for Music's existing customers and prospects, driven by data already held in its UK Business Universe database.
Keith Gilbert, managing director of public performance sales at PRS for Music, said: "Blue Sheep stood out against its competitors because of its leading database and its detailed understanding of the UK business community."
PRS for Music is in dispute with YouTube-owner Google over fees it pays for showing music video clips online. The dispute came to a head this week when UK YouTube users were blocked from watching music videos. However, PRS for Music has said it had a "positive" meeting with Google on Tuesday and that the organisations are due to meet again for further talks.
Other clients Blue Sheep has worked for include PC World Business, Rapid Racking, De Vere Venues and the Learning and Skills Council.
