Prospect Swetenhams joins puzzle craze with new consumer file

LONDON – With the resurgent interest in puzzles spurred by the success of Sudoku, Prospect Swetenhams has taken over the management of a new consumer file Prize Magazines Responders, which contains the details of thousands of puzzlers.

Prize Magazines publishes six highly popular subscription-only magazines, which are targeted to appeal to competition and puzzle lovers.

Among the titles the list is drawn from are: Lucky Break, a bi-monthly magazine title full of prizes and easy-to-enter competitions with fun puzzles; Puzzles Galore is a puzzle-centric title now celebrating its 100th issue; and monthly title Prizes Galore offers over £65,000 worth of prizes and gifts in more than 30 competitions.

All of the magazines concerned involve reader response by way of single page multi-entry competition forms as well as reader reply coupons and reader offer order forms.

As many as 68% of the file is female and 67% are aged 45+ and a further 23% are retired and most enjoy an above-average lifestyle.

Prospect Swetenhams claims that the responders are extremely loyal and react very positively to a wide variety of mail order offers.

Karen Grant-Bond, B2C list manager, said: "Key characteristics of the file advocates that it will work extremely well for a whole host of goods and services, including mail order, health-related products, fashion and household catalogues, health insurance, travel, charities and any prize/sweepstake-led offers."
