Prince Charles debuts in MySpace webcast to champion rainforests

LONDON - Prince Charles is the first Royal to use a social network to fight for a worthy cause, using MySpace to call the social network site's users to action to save the rainforests.

His first ever MySpace webcast will be broadcast today at 6pm, announcing the launch of the official Prince of Wales Rainforest Project MySpace community.

The new hub will let users can connect with the Prince's Rainforest Project at www.rainforestsos.org and view the video message from the Prince along with celebrity friends including the Dalai Lama, William and Harry, Joss Stone, Kermit the Frog, Daniel Craig, Pele, Robin Williams and Harrison Ford, urging the MySpace community to electronically sign a petition to fight climate change by addressing rainforest destruction.

The Royal project follows last week's launch of the official MySpace White House community of 180,000 MySpace users.
