Produced by Warp Films and Film 4, and directed by Shane Meadows, the documentary was premiered last night (May 30).
In a first for the venue, the documentary was screened twice in one evening, each time to an audience of 1,500 fans, and was simultaneously broadcast to more than 200 UK cinemas to an audience in excess of 20,000.
After the screening of the film, the 5,600-capacity venue held a question and answer session with Meadows and The Stone Roses for their fans - for which tickets sold out within minutes.
Ellie Evans, producer at Elevenfiftyfive, the production company behind the film, said: "We were keen to make sure that the world premiere of Shane Meadows' new film connected with both fans and cinema goers alike in a unique and exciting way.
"Victoria Warehouse is the ideal backdrop in which to create an amazing rock 'n' roll cinema experience. Not only does it reflect the northern industrial heritage, which gave the world The Stone Roses, it has the infrastructure and capacity to create an experience that we hope will be talked about for many years to come."
After the first screening of the documentary guests attended an after-party in Room Two of the three-roomed venue. The warehouse’s on-site boutique hotel was also turned into a green room for the band, their entourage, the film's director and the production team.
Marius Kamara, managing director of Victoria Warehouse, added: "This is the most dynamic project we have hosted at Victoria Warehouse to date helping facilitate a film premiere, two ticketed audiences, a Q&A with one of the most famous returning bands in rock’n’roll and a live broadcast to 200 cinemas around the UK."
He said that the venue appeals to brands such as BMW and the BBC because it is an "original and vibrant" space, but also because it is a blank canvas.
"We are all these things but perhaps the defining quality that pulls it all together is the fact that we have the infrastructure and professional capabilities to realise all these projects," added Kamara.
An additional private screening for 1,500 Virgin Media customers will take place at the venue today (May 31).
