The appointment follows a three-month pitch period against undisclosed agencies.

Iris replace BD Network, which was originally invited to re-pitch for the account. (Marketing 25 August)

Orange said that Fallon, Chemistry, MEC, Proximity, Poke and AKQA, are unaffected by the appointment.

BD Network's remit had included using press, digital projects, sales promotions and communications tool kits to support in-store activity.

Earlier this year Orange began trials of two store formats, which if successful, will be rolled out across the UK.

The first store design, called 'Community' encourages customers to make the most of their mobile. The second, 'Multimedia', is designed to drive customer trial of the latest multimedia technology for mobiles, such as music downloads, satellite navigation and email access.
