Philip Atkins, managing director of OTW, told Event it is the first time the system has been used at a large-scale event.
The new system allows OTW to keep track of where staff are working and for how long.
He said: "Our system creates a unique QR code for every member of staff for each shift they are working. The staff are given a code and we scan it as you do at a supermarket, which then comes up with their photo, name, start time and where they are meant to be on-site," he said.
The majority of OTW's staff were based in the restaurant and fine-dining areas at the flower show, which took place between 9 and 14 July.
"We often have to deal with last-minute changes – at 5pm one evening it may be a matter of changing 40 staff times for the next day," said Atkins.
"So it helps us in terms of having that inside information for clients, but it also helps with security because we know who is on-site at any one time, which gives us closer control, and ensures timesheets don't get lost post-event"
Atkins explained that OTW's clients are also given a QR log-in so they can check the staffing levels and who is working where.
This is the third year OTW provided staff for the RHS Hampton Court Flower Show.
