The Busking Before the Brits event will see the capital's top buskers performing songs from former Brit winners, as well as this year's nominated artistes, at the entrance to The O2.

The O2 is asking music fans to tweet song requests, which it then passes on to performers.

The line-up features previous winners from the Big Busk competition – organised by the Mayor of London – including the Robbie Boyd band, who recently sold out the Camden Barfly.

Other artistes include Marisol, The Guy from Archway, Esere Ibeke, Lloyd Taylor, Ros & Ella, Ze Trio, Natalie Shay, India Graye, and Tyler Rix.

The Mayor of London Boris Johnson says: "Our Gigs busking competition is the biggest one of its kind and turning out some wonderfully talented musicians. This is a fantastic opportunity to play to the thousands of people that head to The O2 every day. It’s also their chance to be part of one of the biggest music events of the year. With top industry executives milling around, we could even be about to discover the next big thing in British music."
