NSPCC to hike digital budget

LONDON - The NSPCC is to boost its digital media spend to develop closer relationships with its target audience of children and parents.

The charity's plans include the launch of a blog site, following success through social networking sites such as Bebo.

It also intends to bring mobile into its promotional mix; earlier this year the charity ran a trial, which showed that some children prefer to receive contact information for the charity via their mobile.

The children's charity also plans to move its Your Family magazine online. The title was relaunched earlier this year, with an increased frequency (Marketing, 7 June).
