Nova mails Jamie Oliver promotional kits to butchers

LONDON - Nova Direct Mail has mailed a promotional display kit to more than 5,000 independent butchers to help them benefit from Jamie Oliver's latest campaign focusing on the British pig industry.

'Jamie Saves Our Bacon', which aired on January 29 as part of Channel 4's 'Great British Food Fight' season, showed how, through the use of the Pork Quality Standard Mark, UK pork standards of welfare far exceed the vast majority of imported pork.

Nova Direct Mail managed the complete fulfilment aspects of the BPEX (British Pig Executive) Love Pork campaign including collating, labelling and mailing the display kit.

The pack, created by Wilde Design, consisted of 20 multi-fold 10-page recipe leaflets, three A2 posters, a window vinyl and a newsletter. The kits were packed into custom made boxes and addressed with specially designed labels.

Time was limited as the design and production of the materials could not be finalised until the date of the TV programme was confirmed.

Andy Fry, Nova Direct Mail's managing director, said "We are delighted to be working with the British Pork Industry.

"It's good to be doing our bit to help British pig farmers promote a great British product. It has been a great start to 2009 and hopefully it'll be onwards and upwards from here."
