The Belfry's 550-acre complex has hosted the Ryder Cup on four occasions, has 11 event spaces and several boardrooms.
Lynn Hood has been appointed as the new managing director and will lead the refurbishment and marketing for the project.
She said: "I will be concentrating on the sales and marketing elements of the redevelopment project as we move to re-position The Belfry with new and long-standing customers."
Hood continued: "It was apparent from the moment I walked through the doors that there is a great deal of pride felt here both from customers and from the team. The fact we have many people who have worked here a long time underlines their commitment and love for their work."
Hood has had a 20 year career in hospitality, starting with Walt Disney in America before moving to be general manager at Glasgow’s Malmaison and the City Inn. There she was promoted to operations director and a director on the board. She joins The Belfry from Hotel Prosperity, which provides advice on hotel operations.
Work is expected to begin in January, starting with the golfing retail aspect of the business, the welcome areas and Sam’s Bar and Restaurant.
