Organised by Mash Media, International Confex was acquired by the company from UBM last September. The event and the Event Production Show will collocate in 2015 at Olympia London.
Agostini has been working at Mash for the last three years, most recently as publishing director, and will take up her new position next month when Bushell will depart to work on new challenges.
Bushell said: "I am extremely proud to have helped put Confex firmly back on the map and led the effort to give the show a solid platform to take it forwards at Olympia London in 2015. I wish the new team well and know the show is in very capable hands."
Agostini added: "I am hugely excited at the prospect of building on the very strong foundations of our inaugural Confex. I am looking forward to ramping up to the next level with this great team behind me and returning Confex to its position alongside IMEX and EIBTM as a must-attend in the international events calendar."
