Mash Media, which acquired the show from UBM in September 2013, said last week’s industry event saw visitor numbers reach 6,803, with a core visitor count of 5,502.
More than 4,100 delegates attended Confex on the first day and 3,500 individuals were in attendance on day two, including returning visitors.
Donna Bushell, exhibition director for International Confex, said: "We’re delighted that so many buyers came back on day two, we’re thrilled that the dwell time of each buyer seemed much longer than before, and we couldn’t be happier for our exhibitors, many of whom secured great business on the show floor.
"The comments we have had from exhibitors and visitors have been outstanding and many have said that this has been one of the most successful Confex shows for years. There was a tangible buzz about the show from the start, and the momentum kept going until the last moments."
International Confex 2014 attracted 320 exhibitors in total, and included more than 80 seminar sessions as well as keynote speeches from Kanya King, founder of the Music of Black Origin Awards, and Karren Brady, vice chairman of West Ham Football Club and one of Alan Sugar's advisors on BBC One show The Apprentice.
Next year’s show will collocate with the Event Production Show, returning to Olympia on 18 and 19 February 2015.
