was launched in 2007 to champion emerging talent. The live, acoustic sets have showcased new artists including the Ting Tings and Estelle, and have helped launch the career of artists such as the award-winning Kate Nash, Alphabeat and Vampire Weekend.
The sets have also become a must-play destination for established bands, attracting artists as diverse as McFly and the Jonas Brothers, offering an opportunity for bands to showcase new material.
To commemorate the milestone, MTV will be hosting an exclusive gig showcasing three brand new sessions from The Saturdays, Master Shortie and White Lies.
Philip O'Ferrall, vice president of Digital Media AT MTV, said: "The Sessions have been an incredible success in terms of their unique multi-platform audience and their ability to talent spot.
"Spanking New Sessions have developed into a credible, trusted music source, helping to turn bands into brands by providing them with a digital tool kit with which to launch their careers. Reaching one million views shows just how successful they have become since they launched."
