MTV creates environment champion Cherry Girl

LONDON - MTV has revealed a new personality, Cherry Girl, to raise awareness of environmental issues across its range of youth-oriented websites.

Created by The Scarlett Mark, Cherry Girl will teach teens how small changes to their everyday life can make a difference to their immediate environment.

Her will catalogue her exploits and adventures as she lives her life-philosophy and invites those around her to "play with the world". Cherry Girl will also maintain a presence on a dedicated , Twitter and Facebook.

The launch of Cherry Girl is part of MTV Switch, a multiplatform campaign designed to inspire and promote environmentally-conscious lifestyles for MTV's youth audience.

Over the coming year, The Scarlett Mark will work with MTV to further develop the Cherry Girl character and her story across all online and offline channels.
