MSN lures Ministry of Sound internet head

LONDON - MSN Entertainment has poached Ministry of Sound's head of internet, Steven Wilson-Beales, to join its entertainment team.

The site, http://www.msn.co.uk/entertainment, hosts Live Earth, the MSN Music Box, Movies channel and MSN Music.

Wilson-Beales will join a team led by senior content manager Mike Lok. He will create content to build on the success Live Earth, a newly-launched video service and a new music streaming service.

"It's such a great time at the moment for content providers in the digital market," said Wilson-Beales.

"My role at MSN Entertainment will be to ensure that we give our users exactly what they want - bringing them compelling and exciting features first, and providing content they want to know about."

At Ministry of Sound, Wilson-Beales was responsible for launching new channels, including the Hedkandi.com web site, creating podcasts and building links with content partners to extend the brand's digital marketing reach.

Prior to this, Wilson-Beales has worked as an online consultant, supporting both DfES and AoC, and was previously music editor for global web sites including Universal Music.
