MRS launches new awards for business success

LONDON – The Market Research Society has unveiled six new award categories, which are to join the line-up for the Research Excellence and Effectiveness Awards 2006, aimed at promoting the broader business benefits of research.

Including two nominated awards for Research Champion of the Year and Best Newcomer, the new accolades recognise the business successes of agencies and individuals.

In addition, they award achievements in the fields of market research advocacy, client-agency partnerships and HR.

Sponsored by Research magazine, the entries and nominations will be judged by a distinguished panel of experts from within and beyond the research industry.

The call for entries for all six new awards is open from May 12 until June 30.

Marc Brenner, chair of the awards judging panel and editor or Research, said: "By adding these new elements, we feel they provide an even stronger opportunity for researchers to showcase the very best in research practice."
