MRS launches enhanced learning and development programme

LONDON - The Market Research Society has unveiled its learning and development programme for 2009, with new modules on employment law, business-to-business research and the business of research.

The employment law course will examine the rights and obligations affecting research agencies and businesses and identify opportunities to optimise employment policies.

It is targeted at researchers with a responsibility for recruitment and retention.

The new B2B research course will examine the role of research in B2B marketing, and the module on the business of research will focus on commercial awareness and business skills.

These new modules will complement the existing courses in the MRS programme, which include qualitative and quantitative research, online research, social networking and creative thinking.

Robin Nash, MRS training programme manager, said: "Training is a key differential when it comes to attracting and retaining staff, and MRS prides itself on keeping at the forefront of professional development in this rapidly changing world.

"New techniques and innovation are fundamental to research and this training programme will allow attendees to stay abreast of the latest developments, while simultaneously refreshing their core skills."

Courses range from one day to three days.
