MRS and BMRA announce support for integration

LONDON - The Councils of MRS and BMRA have jointly announced their unanimous support for proposals to integrate BMRA services into MRS, with effect from April 2006.

Talks have been going on over two years between the British market research group and the MRS, which has members in over 70 countries, and specific plans have been developed in the last six months by discussion teams representing the two membership associations.

In a statement the two said that the move seeks not only to deliver unification of services, but also unity of purpose for the market research sector. It is intended that the proposed integration be put to a vote of the BMRA membership early in 2006.
