Movers and Shakers: Wunderman Thompson, Domino's, Pernod Ricard, BBC Creative

Toby Hoare, previously chief executive of J Walter Thompson Europe and chairman of JWT UK, has been named vice-chairman of the newly merged Wunderman Thompson.

Hoare's name was absent when Wunderman Thompson announced its UK line-up last month, with the new team dominated by Wunderman staff. However, in this newly created position, Hoare will report to global chief executive Mel Edwards and be based in London.

Domino’s UK sales and marketing director Tony Holdwaywill leave the business at the end of June to join furniture retailer Dreams as chief marketing officer. Holdway replaces former chief marketing officer Lisa Bond, who left Dreams at the end of last year.

Pernod Ricard’s UK head of marketing, Toni Ingram, has been promoted to global brand director at The Gin Hub, the company’s gin division. Joining The Gin Hub’s senior management team, Ingram will report to managing director Louise Ryan and be responsible for the growth of the Plymouth Gin and Seagram’s brands outside the US.

Meanwhile, Kenny Hyslop, head of experiential at Pernod Ricard UK, will additionally take on the new role of head of brand homes at The Gin Hub, in which he will focus on broadening the "reach and accessibility" of The Gin Hub’s two UK distilleries: London’s Beefeater Distillery and Plymouth Gin Distillery.

BBC Creative has hired Becca Pottinger as creative director. Reporting to executive creative director Laurent Simon, Pottinger is tasked with overseeing creative work for the BBC iPlayer and developing new ways to bring diverse audiences to the platform. She will also lead projects for other programmes and services across TV, radio and digital.

Gravity Road has appointed Tim Rogowski as senior business director and Nick Hearne as creative director. Rogowski joins from Grey London, where he led accounts including Volvo, Helly Hansen and News UK. Hearne has been operating as a freelancer for the past year and before that had a two-year stint as global creative director at Spark44.
