Saatchi & Saatchi London has hired Dan Treichel, a former executive creative director at 180 Amsterdam, as its executive creative director, replacing Rob Potts. In his new role, Treichel will run the agency's creative department day to day.

Michael Richards has left his position as group chief executive of Unlimited GroupHe departed at the end of March. The company confirmed that it is searching for a replacement.

Unlimited, then called Creston, was acquired by investment group DBAY Advisors in 2016 for £75.8m. Richards told ±±¾©Èü³µpk10 that private-equity ownership "wasn't for me" and he was seeking to move back to a more traditional agency environment.

Radio group Global, which bought Exterion Media, Primesight and Outdoor Plus last autumn to create Britain’s second-biggest out-of-home media owner, has moved all of its OOH sales teams "under the umbrella" of its existing commercial team, led by chief commercial officer Mike Gordon.

Global has named Leon Tavianksy, chief executive of Exterion, as chief executive – outdoor. Jonathan Lewis, chief executive of Outdoor Plus, has been appointed executive director – outdoor and Nigel Clarkson, chief revenue officer at Exterion, has been named commercial director – outdoor. 

Meanwhile, Naren Patel, chief executive of Primesight, has stepped down after 28 years and Matt Teeman, managing director of Primesight, is also departing, following Global’s announcement of the new outdoor leadership team. Patel will be a consultant at the company for 12 months.

Snapchat has appointed its first chief marketing officer, signalling a step change in the social media platform’s communications plan. Kenny Mitchell, a former marketer at McDonald’s and Gatorade, will join Snap in June in the newly created position, reporting to founder and chief executive Evan Spiegel.

VMLY&R has hired Adam & Eve/DDB’s former head of innovation Karen Boswell in a new role to lead the WPP agency’s experience practice in EMEA. Boswell, who starts on 7 May, will be tasked with driving the creation of "world-class solutions" across products and services, experience platforms and business optimisation efforts.

Bauer Media has expanded the roles of managing directors Liz Watkinson, Helen Morris, Niall Clarkson and Kim Slaney to simplify its leadership team for its UK publishing business. The move follows the appointment earlier this month of Rob Munro-Hall as chief executive of the UK publishing division and co-head of global publishing.

The Economist Group has appointed Lara Boro as chief executive. Boro joins from Informa, where she is currently chief executive, Informa Intelligence. She will take up the position later this year, when Chris Stibbs, the current chief executive, steps down.

Alan Sullivan, managing director of JCDecaux Airport UK, will relocate to the US later this year to take up the role of co-chief executive of JCDecaux North America. He will replace Bernard Parisot, who is set to retire, and will work alongside Jean-Luc Decaux.

Battersea Power Station Development Company has appointed Carlin Fier to the new post of head of brand. Fier, who is currently vice-president, marketing and communications, at Brookfield Properties, will join in July and have overall responsibility for all aspects of the brand proposition, including marketing, events and placemaking.
