Francesca Davies has been appointed as Weetabix's new marketing director to replace the brand's long-serving top marketer Sally Abbott. Davies joined Weetabix Food Company UK in 2008 and was most recently head of category. Abbott was promoted to managing director following Weetabix’s takeover by US company Post Holdings in a £1.4bn deal in April.

Drum, Omnicom Media Group UK's content agency, has hired CHI & Partners' Monty Verdi as its executive creative director in a newly-created role. Drum’s previous ECD Steve Wallington left over a year ago and since then the creative team has been led by creative director, Claire Baker.

Arena Media has appointed Sarah Treliving, MediaCom's managing partner, head of digital, as the Havas media agency's managing director. She replaces Elliot Parkus, who was poached by artificial-intelligence media agency Blackwood Seven in April.

Thomas Cook has appointed Chris Chalmers, the digital marketing director at Asda, as the travel company's UK marketing and e-commerce director. Chalmers replaces Jamie Queen, who is no longer UK marketing director but remains group marketing director.

Jamie Starbuck has been appointed creative head of youth at BBC Creative, beginning 3 July. He will be responsible for delivering campaigns for the BBC’s brands that focus on younger audiences, such as BBC Three, BBC iPlayer, Radio 1, Radio 1Xtra and Asian Network, as well as pan-BBC campaigns for youth audiences. Starbuck joins from Grey London, where he has been senior creative since 2013.
