Supermarket Morrisons highlighted its new central London delivery service yesterday (8 July) by driving a giant yellow pepper past a number of the capital's landmarks.

The pepper was hauled by a Land Rover throughout the day. It passed by destinations of the London skyline such as the Houses of Parliament, Tower Bridge and St Paul’s Cathedral.

The company interacted with customers on Twitter, giving them the chance to win a £200 Morissons.com voucher by tweeting a picture of the colossal vegetable with the hashtag #spotthepepper.

Simon Thompson, managing director for online food at Morrisons, said: "We’ve arrived with a bang. The Morrisons giant yellow pepper boldly shouts that we’re excited to bring our fresh approach to online delivery to Londoners."
