The band covered the song It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas for the advertisement, which features presenters and brand ambassadors Ant and Dec. As part of the festive campaign, the group will be appearing at 20 selected Morrisons stores across the UK.
The tour will give fans and shoppers the chance to meet the band and receive signed versions of their album and single.
Morrisons also announced sponsorship of Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball as part of a new partnership with Global Radio, which was secured to strengthen the supermarket’s relationship with families. The sold-out event, which is taking place at The O2 Arena on 6-7 December, will see Union J perform alongside Take That, Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran.
To announce the partnership, the band also performed a special gig at Morrisons headquarters on 6 November.
Nick Collard, Morrisons’ group marketing and customer director, told Event: "We’re incredibly excited about this dynamic partnership between Global Radio and Morrisons. Christmas is a special time for our customers and an important time for our business.
"This partnership allows our 11 million customers who come into store each week, plus our 120,000 colleagues, to celebrate the festive season in a new and exciting way at Morrisons."
