
Troy, who occupied the role of global head of advertising and content at Barclaycard, left the payment provider last month and took up the new role this week. He will report to Moneysupermarket.com marketing director David Osborne.
While at Barclaycard, Troy was responsible for overseeing the development of the brand's popular "waterslide" TV ad campaign and iPhone app that became the most-downloaded branded free app to date.
Barclaycard has confirmed it will be recruiting a replacement head of advertising. In the interim, all marketing and advertising will be headed up by global brand director Gary Twelvetree.
