Mediaedge:cia wins £3m UK launch task for Spanish cosmetic surgery chain

LONDON - Corporacion Dermoestetica, the Spanish chain of cosmetic surgery clinics, has appointed Mediaedge:cia to handle the £3m media planning and buying account for its UK launch.

The agency won the business after a pitch against ZenithOptimedia.

It will handle the planning and buying for a multimedia campaign for the first of CD's clinics in the London area this year.

Beyond 2005, CD plans to expand nationally in an attempt to replicate its success in Spain. In its home market CD spends around £10m on advertising, mainly on television.
