Connolly will take on the title of group human resources director and sit on the agency's board.
She will begin at Research International by aligning the research firm's rewards structure with the group's objectives and work to identify and recruit the best people for senior global roles. She will also support the company's international CEOs and HR directors in recruiting.
As Research International's first full-time group human resources director, Connolly will work closely with Danny Wainn, group director for learning and development.
Before joining WPP in 1999, Connolly worked in HR in the biotechnolgy sector. From 1997 to 1999 she was an advisory council member.
She will be based at the agency's head office in London.
