Lee Jeans kicks off pan-European creative review

Lee Jeans has kicked off a search for a creative agency to handle its pan-European advertising business.

The jeans brand, owned by VF Corporation, is approaching agencies all over Europe, including several in London. Jan Colpeart, the Lee Jeans European brand marketing manager, based in Brussels, is leading the hunt.

The new agency will create ads for the style press and develop a strapline to promote the brand.

The Swedish agency Storakers McCann, part of the McCann Erickson network, is the incumbent on the account, but it is unclear whether it will be involved in the pitch. Fallon held the account between 1997 and 2002.

Fallon also handles VF's Earl Jeans brand. VF's Wrangler creative is produced by Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO.

Media, held by Mediaedge:cia, is not expected to be affected by the review.

Colpeart declined to comment.
