Mediaedge:cia hires O&M's Jamin for Consumer Insights

LONDON – WPP-owned Mediaedge:cia has appointed Meredith Jamin, group planning director at sister WPP agency Ogilvy & Mather, to the new role of director at its media research arm Consumer Insights.

At O&M, Jamin handled clients such as Motorola, Unilever and San Pellegrino.

In her new role, Jamin is charged with developing insights into consumer behaviour that will inform their choice and relationship with communication channels.

Jamin's abilities are also seen as shoring up Mediaedge:cia's profile within Group M, the WPP media partnership with MindShare.

She will report directly to executive chairman Charles Courtier, who said of the appointment: "Meredith is smart, very energetic and a self-professed 'media junkie'. She will be an important addition to the Mediaedge:cia team."

Prior to joining O&M, Jamin was a brand planning director at Young & Rubicam, working on Sony Consumer Electronics, Sears and Fisher Price.

She has also worked in strategic planning for new products at Lever Brothers and has launched her own planning and research firm, The Jamin Company, with clients such as the Danish toy maker Lego.
