McCann Erickson goes to Leeds in transformation of Fine

LONDON – McCann Erickson is launching a new office in Leeds to capitalise on what it says is growing client demand for more results-led activity.

The McCann Erickson Dialogue Centre will offer a range of services from direct marketing to operating call-centres on behalf of clients.

The 40-strong operation will generate its own business as well as handling referred assignments from other McCann offices.

The office was born out of Fine, a Leeds-based agency specialising in automotive work, which McCann acquired an interest in several years ago.

Jonathan Fine, the agency's founder, will be the chief executive of the centre, which will launch officially next Wednesday.

The operation's heritage is reflected in the fact that it is handling work for Bentley motors and Daihatsu. Other clients include Orange, Lufthansa and Diageo.
