MyTravel picks WWAV Rapp Collins Leeds for online

LONDON – MyTravel has handed online work for its Airtours and Going Places brands to its direct agency WWAV Rapp Collins Leeds, following a four-way pitch.

The marketing activity for the Summer Sun 2005 campaigns for Airtours and retail outlet Going Places runs from this month until the end of February.

The appointment means that the agency will now create all the integrated direct response marketing activity for the campaigns -- covering direct mail, press advertising, online and email activity.

WWAV Leeds was reappointed in December to handle direct marketing activity for key MyTravel brands, having initially picked up the business in 2001.

Tim Marsden, marketing director for MyTravel group, said: "Once again, WWAV demonstrated excellent strategic thinking, creativity and integrated capabilities."

The agency's creative director Peter Chase said: "The win is testimony to our strong online capabilities and is especially pleasing since we were the only DM agency up against specialist online agencies."
