The Culture Diary, produced in conjunction with Visit London, will showcase every cultural event throughout 2012.
2012 is also the year of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
"London is the most exciting city on the planet - let there be no doubt, in 2012 we are going to put on one of the greatest shows on earth," said The Mayor of London Boris Johnson.
"Throughout the year, not just during the Olympic and Paralympic Games, our city will offer a cornucopia of wonderful cultural events - large scale and small, from east to west and from north to south."
The Culture Diary website will allow groups to add information about what they are planning for 2012 and eventually create collaborative opportunities and highlight any potential clashes.
