The project, which is available via theculturediary.com, has been devised by Arts Council England, the British Council, Department for Culture, Media and Sport, the GREAT Britain campaign, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the Mayor of London, VisitBritain and UK Trade and Investment.
UK cultural organisations will be able to upload information on events to the website, as well as reviews. The service aims to reduce clashes when it comes to planning events and kick-start partnerships between groups.
It will also contain an international element, as organisations will be able to provide details of UK overseas touring events such as the First World War centenary.
The Culture Diary was first set up by the Mayor of London Boris Johnson in order to support approximately 4,500 events that surrounded the 2012 Olympic Games.
Johnson said: "It’s great news that The Culture Diary, a tool initiated in London during 2012, will be super-sized in order to serve organisations up and down the land.
"Culture plays a critical role in attracting tourists, students and business to Britain and it is right that we maximise the rich and dynamic work our organisations do here and overseas."
