The event communications business revealed it had installed more than 5km of permanent cabling and 39 dual radio wireless access points, meaning all event spaces within Tobacco Dock are now covered for wireless and wired connectivity.
The company will also manage the contract overseeing, maintaining and supplementing it as required.
The new system has the capability for more than 2,000 clients with multiple devices, which can be supplemented as and when required.
Jonathan Read, director at Tobacco Dock, said: "After a careful selection process we’re delighted to have chosen Max Wifi to install our cutting-edge data communications network.
"It means that the venue can now host the most complex and demanding events and exhibitions and clients can rest assured that connectivity won’t be an issue."
The NEC Showcase, an audio-visual industry show, which took place at Tobacco Dock on 16 May, was the first event to use the new system at the venue. Max Wifi supplied connectivity to all facets of the event from registration, web streaming and general delegate wifi access.
Richard Hughes, managing director of Max Wifi, said: "With a 1GB fibre optic connection, this now puts Tobacco Dock in an elite class of technically able venues in the UK.
"With social media, radio frequency identification and near frequency communication becoming popular technology to use at conferences and exhibitions, this network ensures Tobacco Dock can now host clients who want to use it without the fear of it not working."
