
Stockwood joined the company as managing director, UK, in April 2007. In the new post, he will remain at the helm of UK operations, while taking new responsibility for the European business - including 15 European markets.
He will also look to develop new opportunities in the online dating market, which is forecast to double in revenue from EURO 243 mn in 2006 to EURO 549 mn in 2011 (Source: Jupiter, Feb 2007).
Stockwood joined Match.com from online travel brand Travelocity where he was managing director of Travelocity Business EMEA.
He created Travelocity Business EMEA in 2006 when he brought together the First Option (Hotel Reservations Agency - Manchester) and Travelstore (Travel Management Company - Amersham) under the Business brand.
Prior to joining Travelocity, Stockwood held a number of positions at lastminute.com including, global head of flights at lastminute.com, where he helped build a network of regional offices across the continent.
