Marston's will sponsor the broadcast credits and idents, and brand the Cricket World Cup sections of and logos on Sky Sports' World Cup promotions.
Peter Jackson, director of marketing at Marston's, said: "Sponsoring the Sky World Cup coverage reflects our aim to support cricket and its fans wherever and whenever possible. This is a logical extension of our commitments which include the Official Beer of the England Cricket Team and sponsorship of eight county clubs and four Test Match grounds."
Every match is being screened on Sky Sports with simultaneous games shown via Sky's interactive service. There will also be extensive Marston's branding on Sky Sport's World Cup microsite.
David Shore, head of sponsorship for Sky, said: "The ICC World Cup is cricket's biggest event and I'm delighted that Marston's share with us the excitement and passion of what should be a fantastic seven weeks of cricket. This agreement reflects not just the quality of the cricket output, but also the popularity of skysports.com."
The sponsorship deal was brokered by Manning Gottlieb OMD.
The ale producer also sponsored the England team in its defence of the Ashes in Australia and is the official beer of the England and Wales Cricket Board. Bowler Matthew Hoggard is a brand ambassador.
Delaney Lund Knox Warren & Partners handles the creative work for the brand. It won the account from incumbent Chick Smith Trott against competition from WCRS in October 2006.
Marston's produces Pedigree, Marston's Smooth, Old Empire, Banks's and Jennings beers, and owns more than 2,500 pubs across England and Wales.
