
Over the weekend of 9-11 of November, the city will be brought to life with three distinct festivities featuring everything from star footballers, to groundbreaking DJs and international cuisine.
On Friday 9 November, The National Football Museum will host a series of free talks and exhibitions allowing the public to interact directly with football legends including Pat Nevin and Patrick Vieira as well as representatives from key football organisations such as The Manchester United Foundation, Manchester Football Association and FC United.
The following day (10 Nov) the focus will shift to Moss Side and Hulme and to Manchester’s famous dance music scene. Talks, exhibitions, projections and spoken word performances will attempt to explore its impact on the world with live music going on into the evening.
The final day (11 Nov) will see venues across Rusholme’s Curry Mile cook up a one-off feast from noon until 1am featuring talks from keynote speakers, traditional and contemporary music, workshops and DJ sets celebrating Asian and Middle Eastern culture.
Un-Convention hosts and organises cultural events across the globe and is supported by The Arts Council, PRS for Music, Primavera Sound, The Roundhouse and Manchester City Council.
