London Fashion Week goes social

LONDON - London Fashion Week is embracing social media with a micro-blogging service linked to Twitter and Facebook as part of Toni & Guy's sponsorship.

The service, which has been created by vertical content specialist , can be accessed at . The blog will offer breaking news, events, backstage access and pictures of next season's hair trends.

The initiative also includes the provision of computers at the event inside the Toni & Guy makeover tent.

The blog will aggregate all conversations relevant to London Fashion Week from Twitter, Facebook, and Friendfeed.

Chat will then be managed into real-time streams to allow people to follow what's being talked about at the show from the latest fashion trends to the most talked about designer on the catwalk.

Shakeel Mughal, commercial director at Glam Media UK, said: "London Fashion Week is one of the biggest events of the capital and has a huge following all over the world.

"You can only imagine the volume of tweets and social conversations around such a high profile event, but Tinker.com provides a simple way of keeping on top of the latest trends and allows users to follow specific designers or collections that they care about rather than following everything."
