The agency, which has been appointed to create the brand positioning and communications campaign for Eristoff, won the business after a pitch against several other undisclosed agencies.
Although almost unknown in the UK, Eristoff is the brand leader in several European markets with sales of more than 1m cases and is know for its multiple filtration process that ends with a final filtration through coal.
The project is being handled at Bacardi by Jeff Macdonald, Eristoff global brand director who was involved in the appointment of non-roster agency Leagas Delaney.
According to Macdonald: "Leagas Delaney has given us a fresh perspective on both the Eristoff brand and the spirits market. They have delivered strong creative ideas and we are now looking forward to taking these ideas to the markets."
Eristoff Vodka, which is also known for its distinctive bottle, comes in several varieties ranging from the clear, black and red and takes its name from the man who first distilled it, Prince Mikolaj Aleksandrowicz Eristoff, in 1806.
Tim Delaney, chairman of Leagas Delaney, said: "In such a lucrative and vibrant market as vodka, the potential for Eristoff is vast. It's a brand with a real story to tell and a strong attitude to assert. We share the excitement of the team at Bacardi."
The win follows that of Pictet & Cie, the famous Swiss bank, which appointed Leagas Delaney after a four-way pitch in October.
