Pictet & Cie takes on Leagas Delaney for creative ad account

Leagas Delaney has been appointed to the creative advertising account for the Swiss banking giant Pictet & Cie.

The agency won the business, which is worth around £3 million, after a four-way pitch after the incumbent, CCHM:Ping, resigned, citing creative differences.

It has been briefed to deliver an above-the-line campaign, which will unify the different services from the bank, which is best known for its private banking facilities.

The campaign will also highlight the other Pictet specialities, including investment funds, institutional investments and managing the financial affairs of wealthy businessmen.

With headquarters in Geneva, Pictet operates more than a dozen offices around the world, in Zurich, Madrid and Paris, among others.

In the UK, the bank is represented by Pictet Asset Management UK. The subsidiary, which launched in 1980, provides investment trusts and management in global equity and fixed-income markets as well as in international smaller companies and global emerging markets.

John Ayling & Associates handles media planning and buying in the UK.
